Julia A. After only 2 sessions, I already see results as a goalie. I was never formally taught how to be a keeper and their lessons and drills have already significantly improved my game. If there are anymore clinics, I’ll totally be in for some more goalie training. Maridel A. VAVi is such an amazing club for big kids lol. They have so many sports you can play with your friends, company, family and simply meet awesome people and make new friends. I’ve played a few flag football, kickball and volleyball games with them. I have a collection of their colorful shirts. Our last game is this Saturday and we’re planning on signing up for a new sport league. Can’t wait. I highly recommend getting involved with VAVi Sports and Social Club. So many things to do in San Diego. Kait F Hi VAVi, I wanted to take the time to tell you and your awesome team my VAVi story. After moving to San Diego for a job offer, almost 4 years ago, I realized all work and no play isn’t practical. Or sustainable. However, I was the only person in my company and didn’t have any friends. So my sister suggested I joined VAVi softball, as I played for 11 years. By my second season I had fallen in love with San Diego! I had met great girlfriends (whom I still keep in contact with) and my incredible fiancé. VAVi was such a great “playing field” to get to know someone in a fun and normal environment. I thought I would never meet a normal guy after college unless I went on Match.com. Jake S I clearly remember our first time hanging out at Rock Bottom after our first win! We went on to win the championships. Two and half years later we are planning our wedding where half of our original team will be attending. (Some members now live in other states) We feel so proud of our romantic story, with him hitting the homes runs and me getting hit by the softballs…well we leave that second part out. Thank you and your team for making these leagues possible! We both wish you a Happy New Year! Bill Joining VAVi Sport & Social Club should be priority #1 when moving to San Diego. I joined 11 years ago and continue to play today. I’ve been involved with Kickball (the gateway VAVi Sport), Dodgeball, Skeeball, Indoor Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Innertube Waterpolo, and their social events. Through VAVi I’ve made many friends that I’ve continued to be friends with for over a decade. Some of those teammates met through our sports, dated, and eventually married. The memories are countless but don’t take my word for it. Sign up and start making some of your own! Matt S IF YOU’RE NEW TO SAN DIEGO, CHECK THIS OUT! This review is for VAVi in general. It holds for all of their leagues, events, races, etc. I started playing sports leagues through VAVi in the April of 2013 with a co-ed kickball league in Pacific Beach on Sundays. Little did I know, that was the start of my “VAVi Career”. I literally lived for Sundays and the Funday that followed. Since joining and playing with my first team. I have attended many events including Players Parties, Petco Park Day to watch the Padres, the ROC Race, Del Mar Mud Run and played more and more sports through the past two years. Kickball, Softball, and Dodgeball are just a small percentage of what’s offered and I’ve played. There is literally something for everyone. A huge reason I decided to take this little adventure was simply for the goal of meeting new people. That’s what I tell all the new transplants to do when they move to San Diego. Catalina C Go out and meet people through VAVi. I’ve gained so many friends, stories, and even a few Champs headbands along the way (Shouts to the SD Sloshballers and Base Knockers!!!). VAVi is always trying to improve. They send out surveys regularly. They’re always asking players what they think about the leagues at events. And you’ll even meet some employees at the bar sometimes during Happy Hours. They apply the changes you seek and will do their best to accommodate you. Long story short, there is no reason not to check out VAVi. You’ll pay a few bucks to play in a league but, trust me, you’ll walk away with far far more. Friends, experiences, stories, team mates, bonds, and hell…I know people that have even gotten married through meeting in this. There’s nothing to lose. Go Fun Yourself.
